Default Rear hub nut

I was helping my friend change the rear hubs on his ZT because there was a lot of crud and rust on the abs ring .
On fitting new hubs (aftermarket) we found the nut was not a 32mmA/F but 35mmA/F.
As he did not have a socket that large, we put the original nut back on until he could find the right ones.
Does anyone know who sells them because after checking on fleabay they all seem to be 35/36mmA/F
Or should ge just buy a bigger slim walled socket to finish the job.

Thanks in advance for any replys.

If you do find some they will most porbably be second hand like the ones you have already.

Bigger socket seems a good idea.---

Looks like you'll be spending rather more on the socket than the replacement nut. .

A quick Google search comes up at around £15 for a 1/2" drive.

I think a 1&3/8" imperial AF socket might fit if you happen to have one?

35mm = 1.378"

3/8" = 0.375" which is pretty close to 0.378"

Can someone please check my maths. Thanks

Good Luck.

Agreed , well worth a try
1 3/8 " x 25.4 =34.93 mm , a snug fit !
ask around your mates who has a box of old imperial sockets , although the slim wall might prove rare !

I prefer the larger nut personally.
You can get 12-point impact type 1/2" drive 35mm sockets for under £7 on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154508582...EAAOSwWCtgon~n
Or if you prefer a 6-point, which I bought, you'll pay 30 bob more. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222879413...4AAOSw~oldCM7n

This one just fits into the hub. I guess another brand may not.
The listing I used had all the dimensions including the OD, so worth measuring the hub bore before spending too much on a socket that won't go in.

Thanks all for the advice.
Still got to figure a way to remove the abs on his car because the heads of the bolts are badly rusted.
Also the people on fleabay need to be more honest with the description of these parts

I bought a pair of new hub nuts from DMGRS not long ago, they were £3.49 each (quick delivery too!)
Hope that helps.
