Hi again Simon, Done!!!!! A new gas canister in the blow torch and the 5/8ins bolt grip by Irwin did the job - those grip sockets are amazing! My pinchbolt was well rounded off and I was swinging on the breaker bar and there was never a hint of it slipping. £20 extremely well spent at Toolstation. The strut was then fairly easy to get out of the hub. Thanks a million for your guidance to this set of bolt grip sockets.
