Went out to change Kims rear brake discs and pads. Couldn't get the sliders unscrewed. So I plusgassed them and will try again next week.

Just picked up my car from the mechanic with the following work done:

Fitted replacement drivers side head light (the original kept having power surges to it and the back disintegrated ).
Fitted harmon kardon tweeters front and rear ( found that my car did not have tweeters fitted in the rear from the factory and it is a + model).
Fitted rear air vent cowl that has been hydro dipped in burr walnut effect.
Had a hole in the top radiator hose so that was replaced and at the same time had a PPD horn fitted.
My mechanics LOVE me always give work that is varied and jobs that start out easy but turn into a head ach LOL.

The hydro dipping cost £100 that was there min they charge, as the part was that small. In hind sight should of given them the complete trim to do ( electric window switch's & the rear cup holder ) might of come to the min £100.

Traded my lovely 2002 Moonstone Green manual 1.8 Club SE in against a 2001 Wedgwood? Blue Auto V6 2.5 Connie.
Given myself some work related water in boot but I was won over by the drive. Lovely!
Wish me luck and please send donations to me for Tax and Fuel budgets ! 😁
Better change signature info below sometime!
Happy Roving
John
(I've recently bought for the 1.8 a set of Unions, but didnt fit them. D'oh! Anyone selling a very good set of Crowns for a Connie?)

Message Dave Lincs, I’m sure he has a good set of crowns for sale.

Been testing a car for work over the last few days so the tourer has been staying at work. Drove it into the workshop tonight, pressed the electric window switch and the glass disappeared into the door slowly...... window regulator cable has snapped.

It took me four and a half hours, but I changed one of Kims rear brake discs and pads. Tightened up the adjuster at the same time.
Second one tomorrow (should be quicker)

EDIT - Just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow. Looks like being later in the week when the second gets done.
