Autobox randomness
Happy new year chaps!
Just a quick one to run past you all. In the past week or so my CDT auto has developed a strange fault. When moving the lever to D, the red selector light does not illuminate and the dashboard read out just goes blank. It does go into drive with a jerk but thereafter is fine with smooth changes up and down the box - no other abnormal behaviour. If I go straight from park into 4 it is smooth as, selector light is there and daah display is fine. If I'm in D sometimes the selector light will flicker in for a bit, and the dash display reappears but will more than likely dissapear again. Any ideas? Many thanks! |

First thing I'd try is tightening the cable. Mine was a bit ambiguous going into D, but that sorted it.

I'll give this a go. Do I adjust at gearbox end or selector end?

Gearbox end, undertray off then one bolt to loosen/tighten. I'm sure there's a how-to floating around somewhere.

From what I read online when sorting out my automatic ZT-T, this should sort it out.

Undo the bolt holding the cable Tim, move the lever from park to drive then back to park, nip up the nut and see if it's any better (Im sure it will be)
