Question Off side Xenon Dipped Blb replacement. Bumper Off Job?

Did a lights check on my recent MKII ZT-T acquisition. Driver's side Dipped Beam ( Projectors ) does not light up. Warning on Instruments too.

Had a look at it through the Wheel Arch Liner Access panel and suspect it's a bumper off job for access/light unit removal to replace bulb.

Any how to guides? Had a search and drew a blank.

Thanks in advance.

Just open the bonnet, you can access this by removing the rubber cap. This houses dipped beam and sidelight.

Bumper off, light out, 3 torx 20 screws on black cover, igniter twist to remove, burner clamp open, replace burner, burner clamp close, igniter on, ignighter plug in, cover on, 3 torx screws in, light in, bumper on...

Easy.

What bulb is required?
Silver box is the ballast/igniter & the bulb is a D2S type, Matt (DMGRS) has them a very reasonable cost Just to add, the oem brightness/colour is 4300K
Here's the fella

If you want more usable light then do both while your bumper is off and fit 6000k burners

Does this increase heat in the light unit, like with more powerful halogens, causing potential melted plastic problems? Do lot of miles in my car and have them on for a lot in winter, more usable light would be handy

No, the temperature stays around the same, the temperature is actually referring to colour rather than actual heat
