Just bought another one :D
All a bit opportunistic really - but I've just acquired another 75. I am due to pick it up a week on Wednesday.
2001 Damson Red Connoisseur SE 2.0v6 (with belts done!) Sandstone interior All the kit inc. headlamp power wash and power fold mirrors. VERY clean MOT history. It's a one owner, very well looked after car. Can't wait! |

Nice one Seb - can't wait to see some pics when you get it home and given it a polish! Powerfolds and headlamp wash....very nice!!
Kev p.s. was he an enthusiast? I didn't think those mirrors were on a longbridge version?

Well, I've now got 500 miles under my belt in this car. You can tell it has been a cherished vehicle by the extensive history and by the way it drives. It has every invoice from new including an almost £2500 bill just under two years ago for suspension & engine work (new inlet manifold, cam belts, thermostat, alternator, starter motor...). The gentleman I dealt with was the son-in-law of the owner, however the owner was present at the sale to sign the paperwork. It's a genuine one owner vehicle & has been maintained by a Rover specialist (the same staff that worked for the dealer after they folded in 2005).
Some nice touches like the fact the IPK has no lines on it & the spare key looks like it's hardly been used - so the embossed Rover Logo on the button is perfect. The one thing I was a bit concerned about was that it was being sold with a very short MOT... due on the 25th February. Good news is that I put it in for an MOT on 1st February and it passed first time. Two advisories both on central brake pipes - so these will be done in the spring time as well as other bits I want sorting out. Anyway, have some pictures of my gallivanting in it this week... Oh and one rather fake 'press photo'! And now, he's washed and tucked up in his garage waiting for another time... |

Very nice car!
Color is just + it seems like it is in a good state. I would buy it too if i had the chance. The only negative thing i can see is the ugly rims. But swap those and you have a perfect car! |

Very nice - and in my favourite (and quite rare) colour for a75 -Damson red. My first 2001 75 CDT was in that colour - pre-Project Drive, and definitely the best 75 I have owned. Miss it !

Didn't realise that Damson Red is a fairly rare colour - it stayed on the colour charts until 2005 I believe, although my 54 plate Tourer is the only facelift I recall seeing in it.
