75 cdt Brake discs & Pads.
I have my mot coming up in a few months and my pre-mot pointed out that the discs are fairly rusty although not necessarily a fail.
having said that I intend to replace them ... front and rear as a kit including pads etc, There seems to be 1001 kits available but not all are good quality. Question is ... can anyone recommend a good quality complete kit for my 04 75 cdt that they have used and had no issues with? Thanks. |

I've recently put ebc pads on the front of my Ford, and you can tell the difference straight away , a lot less dust and no squealing.
Can't give you a long term statement yet but I am just about to order a rear seat for Ford. Looking on their website there is a lot of choices but a front kit of discs and OEM pads are £111 inc vat and rears are £75. You can get different types of pads and discs but I would stick with the standard. Delivery was 2 days when I ordered and you get free stickers as well Stan

My long term choice has been TRW discs and pads. They were the items sold in the dark blue MGR SLP boxes.
Mister Auto is my choice of supplier based on price. The parts can take a couple of weeks to arrive, sometimes from a European warehouse, but I usually order months in advance so has never been a problem. From memory, a disc, pad & sensor set comes to around £140. |

HI Darsie.
I fitted these discs & pads below to a local owners car a couple of years ago along with doing his full service, he supplied them himself, last week he came and had his car serviced again and I checked the discs and pads, which seem to be standing the test of time a couple of years driving, he does the average mileage 10,000 or so a year, in those two years he as not reported any problems with the discs or pads, also they give a 5yr warranty so maybe worth trying. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Front-...3/142455657242 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-of-Fr...1/142455701512 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rear-Delp...3/142455674837 can not find the rear disc/drum from above company. But these below do them. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Delphi-Re...Y/163003683154 They also do the TRW https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRW-Front...Y/153169093767 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRW-Rear-...Y/153169093820 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRW-Rear-...Y/163242577115 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRW-Front...Y/163242577348 Hope the little search helps

Want good quality but don't want my pants pulled down over it! I think i'll end up following the masses with whichever disc 'n' pad sets most peeps on here use, i'll have a count up of all those who use a certain make and go with those, unimaginative I know but kind of narrows down the choice and takes a big chunk of guess work out of it. |
