New series on Yesterday, classic cars sought & sold for auction. Based in Thornton le-Dale in N Yorks. Looks good

Watched the first one last night.

Very enjoyable, but I must admit I was shocked at the price the Cooper S went for . I know it's rare, but in that condition, there would surely be little left of the original car once it's restored. It put me in mind of Triggers broom! Basically £18K (plus auction fees) for a VIN plate, engine block and perhaps one or two more bits.

Looking forward to the rest of the series .

Cliff

Proper, genuine Coopers are fetching massive money at the moment Cliff. Just look at what this sold for recently https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/254...mGST24nh7Ct3kU
To be fair, the 970 Cooper S is one of the rarest but, even so

I agree as well. He basically bought the VIN plate, every thing else would need replacing or extensive restoration. It was a wreck!

Yep very interesting, my best mate has had a couple of cars from Derek, as have a couple of family members in the trade.
