Default Summer is over

The temperature has dropped, the nights have significantly drawn in and it has rained almost all night if not all night.

It is dull, windy and pouring with rain outside at the moment.

We can consider it finished, once the leaves have left the trees, and the windscreen requires ice scraping off.

Dull windy and pouring with rain, sounds like an average British summer to me !!

Yes summer seems to have slipped away..
We've gone to amber flood warning in Dorset for tomorrow.. Having said that at 61 metres above sea level were pretty safe where we live.

It’s storm Alex - hits us about 1am - over 2 inches of rain in Sussex this afternoon.

Amber weather warning for Dorset and Wiltshire. We should be on the eastern edge of it by mid afternoon tomorrow. Clear sky’s to the East of us - downpours to the West.

What we actually get depends on where the line decides to be.

Show off!!

It is 12 degrees C here this morning........the gritters will have been out in Scotland I suspect.

The summer really was a damp squib, the early part of the year showed such promise....of course we couldn't do much at the time.

TBH we have had a really good summer. Some wet days but also some really great days.
Today is mild but wet
