Bargain?
Very reasonably priced (IMO) for such a low mileage example and a pretty good MOT history to boot.

It does look nice but has possibly done a fair bit of sitting and stagnating judging by the mileage and gap in the mot history?
Ps Honda engine in a 75? I'm happy to be corrected but that's not a thing right? |

As said, the seller is getting a little confused here or has been misinformed.
Definitely a Rover KV6 (the Honda V6 was fitted to the 827). |

There are a lot of cars in that driveway, I’d say it was a dealer in disguise.. especially looking at the schpiel.

Just look at that mouldy o/s/r seat belt, definitely has been damp inside (or still is)!
Possibly no radio code either (looks like a few wrong attempts have been made at entering the security code). |

I must admit I’m at the age now where I really don’t want to be buying another secondhand car because of the stress involved in deciding what’s a good car and what’s being fudged and covered up. My last 3 75/ZTs all came well documented with long ownerships and wodges of history. The last two developed several symptoms after purchase and with the current one I’ve shifted my expectations from modern car with no faults to classic car that requires this and that now and then.
I feel the CDTi is a proven lump that can be lived with relatively stress free, has one Achilles heel (the clutch and hydraulics) and otherwise powertrain excepted minor ailments that will need attention as and when. Out of all the (dozens and dozens) of cars I’ve had in the last 25 years this breed is the easiest to live with and most rewarding to own. This R75 may well be a good buy for someone, I do love the V6 dearly but I’m sticking with diesel due to the driving I do. Put it this way you won’t be seeing many Mondeos etc before long, an R75/ZT is already becoming a classic, and values are definitely creeping up. My last V6 was hibernated and sold due to storage loss. I paid £600 and it was a top notch ZTT190+, I fretted over a death rattle one morning and laid it up. I replaced it with a BGT then and MG3 then an MG GS!! I sold it for 850 and it’s on sale now at 2k with 60000 more miles on it. So a V6 can last forever, therefore at about a grand this 2.0 could still be a good buy. Just don’t tell the seller that.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
