Default Diesel fuel filter

Good evening I have just removed the fuel filter from a diesel ,and there are two rubber washers on the centre spigot of the head. One is a flat sided washer the other is a taper sided washer is this correct ? The filter make is Delphi.

I only recall one rubber washer (flat)... Awaiting someone who's done it more than once to confirm...

Should only be one flat washer on there.

Hi Anthony.
As above only one rubber seal on the centre spigot (small) and large seal on the outer edge, photo 13 in the link below.

Could be that the old O ring wasn't removed when the filter was last changed?

Yes I thought that was probably what had happened ,it did look a bit odd, just wanted to make sure. I havent come across that make of filter before. Many thanks to all who replied
