Default Clutch Quick Release - No plastic collar

Hi all.

I've only separated the clutch QR once before on a different car, but I'm sure there was a plastic "collar" that was pushed in to release the pipes.

Mine doesn't have one .

Any ideas about how to split the pipes very welcome.

I think (hope ) that the reason my clutch bite point has been getting steadily nearer the floor is the master, not the slave.

Have to say DMGRS have been brilliant in getting a new master to me. I've gone for one of the AP ones where you use your own pipework.

Now praying I can get the lines apart. I don't want to bleed any muck/gunge that's in the pipework into the slave. Yes, I know it'll probably get washed through, but anything that puts off the chance of something causing the slave to pack up is welcome in my book.

Thanks in advance.
