Front suspension Bush and lower arm replacement
Hi Have got subframe off to replace suspension bushes and lower arms.
On tightening the nut on centre bush it sheared off. Have been unable to knock out or move with fork type ball joint spliter. Any advice on how to remove and best way to install replacement lower arm? |

You dont have to remove the subframe, try knocking it out using a punch, if its just been fitted it should come out easily.

I already took subframe off as I could not undo the rear bush bolt which had corners rounded off.
Have tried punch and fork ball split but with no success, feel I need to get hydraulic press or new subframe. |

If you've sheared off one of the 2 18mm a/f bolts that secure the rear lower arm bush then it must be well seized in the tapped hole in the subframe. An 'easy out' might work but it would probably be futile to attemp it without some serious heat being applied. Drilling it out is another option but needs care to not muller the thread in the subframe.

You would need to maybe drill a centering hole on the snapped off end to centre the puller bolt |
