Don't be so disheartened dear - Replacement wing mirror glass isn't THAT difficult to find for a 75.

I'll get me coat.......

I have never watched Emmerdale or any soap for that matter other than one episode back around 2010. Reason my other internal combustion engine featured in a train crash with a transit van at a level crossing. The other engine being a class 47 diesel electric loco fitted with a Sulzer 12LDA28C engine. Funnily enough she has just had an oil and filter change today: four filters each about the size of a bucket and placed in line plus a little under four barrels of monograde SAE 40 engine oil - a barrel is 45 galls or 205 litres.

In my train driving days I liked the 47s the best but they could be bleedin' cold draughty things. When fitters took a panel off it never went back on with the same number of screws. BR locos were held together with gaffer tape! Nothing beats a 95 mph draught whistling around your legs! In winter long johns were the order of the day, frequently with waterproof overtrousers on as well! I used to carry a small bottle of milk in my bag for tea/coffee, one 47 was so cold there was ice in the milk

No swearing, no smoking? Funnily enough, that's two reasons why I wouldn't want to live there

What do you expect with train crashes, airplanes coming down . . . . place is about as hazardous to live as Midsomer.
