The cables for the steering wheel controls are in pins 2 & 3 of the grey 8 pin ISO power connector, it doesn't have to be connected to the changer for them to work.

The lead just needs connecting to the BMW connector on the car loom at the base of the centre console behind the ashtray unit, (replacing the existing one) and the ISO connectors plugging in to the Symphony.

The one on the right with two dots - Blue/Orange cable in pin 2, Blue/Purple in pin 3.
The other end of the cables are in pins 10 & 17 of the large BMW connector which connect the lead to the car loom in at the back of the centre console behind the ashtray unit.

Hi Ray.
When I/we put the wire conectors into the Symhony rear the grey conector with two dots fits into the rear along with the light tan one which then would only leave the grey conector lead with one dot so am still also the lead would not be long enough to reach down behind the front ash tray maybe its me like i said not to gened up on ICE electrics Arctic.

The large grey ISO connector is the for the power etc, steering wheel controls &, phone mute input.
The large brown one is for the speakers.
The blue mini ISO connector in the multicolour block is for the CD changer.

One of the other two is for the CD changer, it has Yellow/Black, Black/Yellow, Pink/Black, Black/Pink, Purple /Pink, White/Red/Yellow and Black cables.

The remaining connector, with Purple/Pink, Red/White, White/Red/Yellow, Light Green/White and Black cables, is for the Low Line navigation unit switch pack - which you don't need.

The lead should reach the connector on the car loom, it's only got to go down behind the heater panel.
