Default mg zt inlet manifold rattle, how long will it last?

my zt 190 inlet manifold rattle has appeared, noticeably louder today.

my problem is im going away in it tomorrow down south with the caravan and just a bit concerned if the car will make it there and back towing.

the rattle does get quieter when the car has warmed up.

how long will it last with the manifold like this and will it cause any damage if left too long?

There are no guarantees, but generally the rattle is down to worn ball and socket joints between the connecting rod and the six butterfly valves inside the manifold.

It should be ok short term, but perhaps it's worth disconnecting the power VIS motor until a good manifold is fitted.

I had the most rattling inlet manifold I had ever heard on my ZT-T for well over 6 months and drove 3000 miles before I eventually changed it. I would imagine you would be OK with your journey.
