Nice one Gordon, you will find the yoke that bolts onto the rose joint is the wrong shape though, leaving it open even when the M12 bolt is pulled up tight





You also have to remove 5mm from the diameter of the lower spring isolator, otherwise it's impossible to fit it into the pan of the new upper arm, due to the pressing being in the wrong place, along with the cutouts for the drop links

At least they will have a decent coat of paint by the look of things

Wow, the size of your workshop would like to have that sort of space.

Unfortunately my garage is full and not that big so I only have my parking space to do things in.

hi brian thanks for the tips im going to have a look what you mean at work today any other tips i should know before i start putting it together as its all going to be new,and i dont want to spoil my new hammerite paint job thanks gordon.

well neil its not my workshop either its were i work it our metalshop would love it myself.im lucky to work on a farm so keeps my projects safe.

Can I forward a tip that was suggested to me when I did this? Weld up the captive nuts on the subframe, to help with future removal of the arms.

all ready done still dont know why it is like it is, surely its easier to weld it up when they build up the subframe.

It’s better to remove the captive nuts and weld on a nut that is half decent!
