I am not doing this for my benefit, purely for the other half mate

Just chuffed I got it working... Not to sure what I did, but on the 3rd attempt at connecting it all up, it decides to work!! don't think I did anything differently
About to set this up in mine, have the freeview box installed, recieved the av lead today, waiting for rain to stop, get the lead connected and see what happens!!

I have a sneaky feeling that if you can see the screen from your seat (even if you're not looking) the boys in blue will object very strongly, If the screen was in back of the seat no problem.

Don't forget that having a screen in sight of the driver displaying TV or movies is illegal while the car is driving or stopped in traffic. An unmarked police car behind with roof mounted camera will nab you and you could get a dangerous driving ticket.
The construction and use was changed in either 1956 or 57 to stop the fitment of a TV in sight of the driver, that was the Ekco TMB272 TV fitted to some Rolls Royce cars.
It is now slightly changed that info entertainment units must not display this type of media during driving. So be careful and be mindful two seconds of distractions could be fatal.

Derek its not me that makes the rules!!
A tv running is far more distracting than a sat nav, one is a driving aid the other totally dissolved from driving in a sensible and safe way.
Just like a mobile phone it cuts your concentration. TBH I'd ban sat nav and distracting info entertainment
