Default H9 replacement lamps

* Just to clarify, I got the dipped/main beams mixed up, but it's still H9 lamps I am looking for, but obviously now for main beam *

I'm in the process of fitting replacement Halogen projector headlamps to my mki ZT and before I fit them I'm going to change all the lamps for new quality ones, much easier when off the car the H9 (dipped) lamps seem to be not as common as the others to get as an upgrade from standard, so what would be a good quality at a reasonable price lamp, I want to make the most of the projector setup as I can (going from standard halogen reflectors) and before I go any further I don't want xenon aftermarket 'kits', off road only lamps or anything that's going to get me stopped by the Constabulary, annoy oncoming drivers or chance an MOT fail.

With a lot of help from ricardo65 the outer plastic lenses have had a good polish

Your's Octagonally

Roy

H9 few and far between, Osram & Philips on Amazon, make sure genuine by usng know seller. Beware the "does this bulb fit your car" check on Amazon does not always work as it does not recognise H9 on some of our cars. I use H9 on mains but its says I cannot

Are the ones with the plastic connection on the side behind the projector lenses not the dipped ones?

I thought the outer lights with the projector lenses were the dipped and the inner lamps with the reflectors were the main beam, have I got them the wrong way round?

I've got them back to front then lol! (At work and the headlights are at home) so then to clarify 😉 I have upgraded H7's for the dipped lights and would like upgraded H9's for the main beam (🤔 think I have that right)
