I've had two recently where they've left a message on the answerphone "this is HMRC, we have opened a law suit against you, press one to speak to your case supervisor". Looks like I'm going to prison.....

Me I thought I'd be cleaver pick up the phone and answered it typical sales man trying too worm is way though.

I said this better be worth it as were busy enough with recruits as it is.

You have to give those Nigerians credit for trying

We would get orders from them for machinery often £30K they then supplied a Letter of Credit (LC) we would ask for confirmed LC on first class UK bank, the Nigerians were writing their own LC's against Nat West bank, naturally the scam appeared when you tried to have it confirmed with the bank but, I'll bet plenty got scammed with it.
