Both the current bike, and myself, are a little heavier than the one at 16.

My son is rebuilding an Ariel Red hunter from 1934, I think.
One of his other bikes is a 1935 Sunbeam 9, with split exhaust, like new.

It let him down once, when the shaft drive failed. He had asked a garage to top the oil up in the final drive unit and it failed a few miles down the road. He claimed the garage had drained it and filled it with air, but it seems the fault was a known weakness.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

OK, here goes: Honda C90, CB100N, CB250RSA, FT500, XBR500, VFR750, ST1100 (and CB550K3), GL1500 (and '72 750 Commando) and finally CB900F2, a late return to biking after a number of tears but never really took to it 2nd time round, think I was too used to windscreen wipers and heaters!

Of all of them the ones I miss most are the ST1100 and the 550K3 which I rebuilt from the ground up. When I took it for its post rebuild MOT the boss of the local bike shop commented he'd forgotten they could run so quietly!

I was given a new ST1100 on loan for a few weeks from Honda UK.
It must have been in 1995.

I can see why you miss yours, I found it to be a very capable machine and enjoyed riding it.

Frustrating, I've got photos of most (if not all) of my bikes (including the ST with trailer!) but can't find them anywhere.
