The mini compensator is a ready made solution and it is also suggested to have a larger range of compensation than the 75's own version. The downside is that I understand they are more difficult to fit.

If the drums at the rear are properly and equally adjusted, then the OEM compensator (refurbished/ modified) is the equal to the mini version and nothing is to be gained using the mini compensator.

I say the above without ever having had first hand contact with the mini compensator.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Default Handbrake compensator mod.

The Modified Handbrake Compensator [/COLOR]- Whilst I have stopped producing these, I can recommend the version now offered by another member of this forum. I understand they are offered at not much more than I was charging. Fixing them up is really not a great deal of work, so why pay more? Contact me and I will pass the details on.. [/B]

Hi Harry,

Could you pass me the link to someone doing the welded handbrake compensators, please?

I'm sure Arctic's are strong enough [I'm a sailor, so I know what an s/s shackle can hold]. But welding the original one seems simpler and better.

I'm in Wallingford, so anyone South Central would be ideal.

Giles

PS. Do you know of anyone in the Club planning a meet during 2019?

The latest handbrake compensator is a Mini R53 as described by Steve here

It might be worth asking John, here -

Though it sounds as if he, like me, is having to take things easy too.
