Yeah, but the manual blind is a nuisance when you want to operate it when doing 70 down the m/way with no passengers... Quote:
Absolute necessity - even with auto-dip rearview mirror - reduces rangerover glary stupid led h/lights/DRLs by half when operated Also, on the off chance it's not already up, fills one with smugness when some tailgaiting waste after today get right up your backend - just operate rear blind to see how red-faced you can make him.

Is that not where cruise control really comes into its own?

1. Another one for cruise control. Use it every time I drive the car, fed up with watching out for speed limit changes. Kick-down overrides it. Absolutely nothing to do with age-related arthritic ankle.
2. Heated powerfolds, 8 seconds to defrost the mirrors. 3. Auto box pre-select. Tremendous fun. Gimmicks? None, the car is just what a car should be with everything on it absolutely essential now that I’ve got used to it. Wouldn’t want to upset anyone else, but... have just bought the car I have been lasciviously ogling for 9 years. At a house not 200 yards from mine a Connoisseur SE BR Green 2.5 came up for sale. Ahem,.... Deep Sea Green leather (as new) with green carpets and trim, yes, I kid you not. One lady owner averaging 2000 miles a year and a meticulous service record since new in 2002. Oh yes, did I mention the BR Green paint, Deep Sea Green leather and trim? I did? Oh well, my bad. So my now ‘other car’ is being valeted and prepared for sale, just waiting for a sunny day to take pics.

things i love about it
1) the amount of car parts and general stuff i can get in the back of the tourer 2) wipers that stop when you sit in traffic, so no annoying noises when sat still 3) the warm glow of the dashboard clock

It's hard to choose just 3 things but as most of you mentioned all the thing I liked, here's my top 3:
Still didn't try the Cruise control ( it is not fully retrofitted) but I bet I will enjoy it pretty much

That is also my approach to cars. I love the snake pass for that very reason - you don't drive there at speed but with skill and use every bit of the car's engine and braking performance without actually going very fast. Ditto roads around Malham Moor etc. |
