My nearly 11 year old springer has arthritis. He doesn't help himself as he is like a JCB fast track.
Everywhere flat out. Then, spends a few days limping and taking it ever so slightly easier. I've put him on yumove tablets. He is now more bouncy than ever.

Just thought I would suggest it as a possible option for your older collie.

For months, we have had him on daily tablets, 'joint sticks' chews and a teaspoonful of cod liver oil sprinkled on his food. We ran out of the tablets a few weeks ago, so we have just been giving him the sticks and the oil.

I don't know if its due to stopping the tablets or what, but he had suddenly begun bouncing around again - it could even be the memory foam beds. He is quite happy now just spending an hour or two a day exploring the garden. He is even initiating the play fights with his sister.

It is only a few months ago, that he was stuggling to move at all and asking for help to raise himself up from a bed. I thought at the time, he was close to the end.

He has now got very accustomed to me moving one of the beds to behind the front door for him, he sits waiting for me to move it for him, before he lies down. I have though noticed when its noisy for him trying to sleep there, as it was at the weekend due to the gales, he moves to the quieter bed at the back of the house, in the kitchen.

The past few mornings, he has been in such a deep sleep, that we have been able to get up and go past him, leaving him still snoring away on the bed at the front door. So the beds would seem to be a +++ from the dogs.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I usually feed mine a slice of smoked mackerel a day to see if it helps him but just ordered a tub of yumove and see how that works out instead
