I suspect the size of the case, numbers and money involved, would greatly influence any legal advice given. I don't think going to a lawyer and saying an unknown number of people are owed an unknown sum of money would illicit a great response, doesn't give any idea as to the size of the case. A bit of basic legwork (only talking about a few emails to other club admins) so that you can go in and say there's at least X number of "customers" owed a minimum figure of X pounds would give the lawyer a much better idea what he'd be dealing with.

The nature of any loss of money is likely to be similar as is the amount of the loss individually, whether it is 2 or 10,000 people. If they say no chance for whatever legal reasons the answers is unlikely to change because you've found another 20 people in the same boat.
Of course there is a limit to when others such as governments might be interested but it would have to be probably in the millions for them to be interested and that's not likely to be the case here.

The difference between that and this case, is that yours was likely a civil debt which the police will have no interest in. These people it seems were swindled on the face of it, by fraud - which is a police matter.

I doubt any of those many on this group and others, who have paid in advance will ever get their money back. It will have been spent long ago and unless this guy has property - you simply cannot get blood out of a stone.

What taking it further will do, is prevent him continuing carry out this and similar frauds to others. Possibly this guy runs other scams, in other than car related items imported from China.

All it needs is one of you to stick your head above the parapet, go to the police and explain what this guy has done to so many - ask them the best way to progress it and collate all of your complaints plus the numerous complaints in other car forums.

People like this get away with what they get away with, because everyone stands about ringing their hands, rather than doing anything constructive.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Tony has stated in post 418, he is pulling out of the forum. If Rob and Jeff, does the same, who can blame them.
Pointing the finger???

For christ's sake Phil, I'm not pointing the finger, I'm merely asking questions to better understand the situation. The whole ordeal is a joke, this type of business operation always carries risks, stupidity has played a huge part in all of this. If people took note of the facts when questioned, then much of this could have been avoided.

Thumbs down Sean Moore and 75andzt.com

I have recently placed an order through Sean’s website and am waiting for a reply to my emails for an expected delivery date. It wasn’t until I recently visited the Club that I became aware of issues that members are having with their orders, so obviously became very concerned.
I’ve done a bit of research into Sean Moore and the company and find there have been at least four email addresses for him. The current one of [email protected] is correct. The website domain is with godaddy.com and going through the godaddy website I’ve been able to obtain an address, telephone number, fax number and an administrators name. These details are freely available but you just need to know how to access the information.
I have listed the contact details as follows:

So he lives in Nova Scotia? How do you propose to deal with someone who lives umpteen miles away in a different country?

The British Way of getting things sorted..................’well, what can you do’. Makes me mad. Just do something and stop just talking about it.
