Morning all.

A thick fog descended on us here during yesterday afternoon.
It is still lingering this morning but appears lighter.
If we are lucky the sun will burn it off later.

Bacon baguette this morning and a trip to the cat rescue this afternoon

I bet she will be feeling a whole lot better even if a little groggy from the anaesthetic now those bad teeth are out.

How are you both health wise, We trust you are both on the mend.

Dawn And Julien.
Hi Dawn and Julien, 55 years of marriage is quite something. I bet you could write a book for those in need of guidance We went through a rough patch. Jessica hurt her back and was immobile for a few weeks. With specialist treatments she is now on her feet again. On Monday I am at the hospital to get the biopsy results. I am not expecting anything bad and every day I am getting stronger. I have been on a blood thinner tablet for the past 2 years following the bypass. A side-effect of the tablet is stomach ulcers. The bypass is working very well, so I will ask if I can come off the thinners.

For lunch today, I am having a baked potato and a portion of baked beans. This is progress from the bowl of rice
But you know what, I am feeling happy about everything, truly as there is always someone worse off.

How did you celebrate your 55th?

First off we returned the terrible twosome back down South, took them down personally just too make sure they got there.

On the way back stopped off in West Bridgford for a celebration dinner in a restaurant called Cote De Brassiere.
Surprising how memories flood back in a relaxed atmosphere, after 53 years in our old house in Egham we would never have thought to have moved up to the East Midlands in our later years.
Now living here just over a year, we should have done it earlier, downside is we had left a lot of good friends and neighbours behind, but life up here is so laid back there is no need to rush to do anything, We are very happy as Larry.
Any one who reads this and is reasonably local feel free to drop in for a chat and a cuppa?.

Totally agree with the laid back life. None of the hustle and bustle of London.
I too wish I had made the move sooner, but never mind.

Glad you had a good celebration meal. Suppose Dawn had to pay.
