Most certainly not. PCB is there to test if everything works before getting into the cycle.

Look throughout the forum, there is very nice scheme on how to test the FBH...

have gone through some tests I found with times. Alas 2 minutes 7 seconds points to quite a lot of things.
water pump and glow plug are the most awkward/difficult things to replace and so I'm trying to eliminate as much as I can first.
Need to put 12v to water pump and expect that to be ok.

Go through tests that Mike left on the forum... the scheme is perfect.

Note: changing water pump is not that difficult, also changing glow pin is not difficult, but may be dirty.

I know not difficult but it means breaking into the coolant system......... again and it is this thought that is demoralising me.

I have spent an awful lot of time and effort on this car and I don't even like the colour. Two rain water leaks and a passenger door not opening from the inside to solve, along with the FBH and I think all "faults fixed"...for now.

Next bit of fettling will be a self dimming mirror and sooner or later having the wheels and spare wheels reshaped as I have seen flat spots on the rims

Cool, so you already know what it takes to fix the FBH.
All i can say is: Plan the job before starting

Rain leaks? I assume trunk (rear lights seal) and front seat footwell?

Take a beer and your time

As for fixing a pcb, no not a clue how I'd do it. I'm a nut and bolts man.
