Default Hi-Line, interesting box I have not noticed before

Behind the Bordmonitor (nav screen) is a little grey box, I never noticed it before
this is a Kbus interface between the Rotary Coupler and the Nav systems it does the translation from the steering wheel switches to the K bus!

I have been looking at the cable harness for Hi-Line Navigation that I have in front of me as I am working out what some odd connectors do

One connector goes to above box
One goes to the Telephone interface
The final odd connector is for a little speaker!

Anyone know anything about the original 75 telephone set up it seems very integrated with an eject box and what appears to be a feed from the HRW for the aerial

The lead I have I am modifying firstly to relocate the CD changer to the boot and secondly to get rid of extra clutter to make installation easier the cable for the phone system can come out straight away then the little speaker then I can pull back the CD changer wires

I should end up with

A, a birds nest
B, a slimmed down cable making installation in the V8 easier
