Looks like I need to now place a 'wanted' add for some wheels, or grovel and see if anyone has a spare set

Really sorry to here this and this really paniced me, as I also bought the Meteors from zwarehouse at around the same time as you (see my other thread about wheels). Mine arrived late last week .. only to find that 3 of them had small marks on them (looks like the outer packaged got punctured). zwarehouse were great about it and agreed to send 3 replacements (in fact they even said to keep the originals as they are not worth enough to them to return !!). Anyway the replacements have just arrived at home ... I'm at work so no chance to checking them out before tonight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these are OK.

Glad to hear that you managed to get replacements, as when I spoke to them yesterday and they broke the news about mine, they said they had someone that was requiring replacements as they had received damaged wheels (I wonder if it was you?!) but they claimed that they didn't even have enough to replace them. I really hope that your replacements are ok, although I'm sure they will be. Out of interest, how badly marked were yours when they came; they told me that the ones they had left were so badly damaged that they were not even round any more!?

I've also just asked our local hero (Les at SMC) if he had anything knocking around, and he said that he's heard that they've done this many many times before now

I assume the mystery buyer would have been me

The "damaged" ones basically just had a single scratch on the face, one of them has only just cut thru the lacquer, the other two a little more. I complained only due to the fact that when I buy something listed as "new" then it should be perfect. (To be honest if they had listed "excellent", or something like that, then I wouldn't have complained.)

The wife took delivery of the new wheels so I have no idea what they are like yet, I think she would have noticed if they weren't round though ...... I hope.

Will report back later with details ... and will also add some photos of the "damaged" ones ... as I will offload all three to recoup some of the costs of my wheels

Talking

If you claimed that another one was damaged you'd have a set of 4 to sell, and I might just be interested...

Phew! Glad to hear that the replacements are fine.

I've found http://www.camskill.co.uk/ are one of the cheapest places you can find for tyres
