Yep, those are the type, although in a slightly different shade of grey to the wheels I should have been getting (boo hoo!).

Looks like I need to now place a 'wanted' add for some wheels, or grovel and see if anyone has a spare set

Glad to hear that you managed to get replacements, as when I spoke to them yesterday and they broke the news about mine, they said they had someone that was requiring replacements as they had received damaged wheels (I wonder if it was you?!) but they claimed that they didn't even have enough to replace them. I really hope that your replacements are ok, although I'm sure they will be. Out of interest, how badly marked were yours when they came; they told me that the ones they had left were so badly damaged that they were not even round any more!?

I've also just asked our local hero (Les at SMC) if he had anything knocking around, and he said that he's heard that they've done this many many times before now

The "damaged" ones basically just had a single scratch on the face, one of them has only just cut thru the lacquer, the other two a little more. I complained only due to the fact that when I buy something listed as "new" then it should be perfect. (To be honest if they had listed "excellent", or something like that, then I wouldn't have complained.)

The wife took delivery of the new wheels so I have no idea what they are like yet, I think she would have noticed if they weren't round though

...... I hope.

Will report back later with details ... and will also add some photos of the "damaged" ones ... as I will offload all three to recoup some of the costs of my wheels

When I bought my gridspokes they had small marks, only took me an hour to paint and laquer them. like new.
