The big round 100K.

Let's hope the next 100K will be just as much fun and just as enjoyable for you and your car!

Simon, indeed!

John, what Simon said applies to you too

My last car (a very trusty Ford Grananda Scorpio) reached 160k before having to retire the old girl due to high emissions (burning oil) and bit of a leak from the autobox. Hopefully, my (yet to be proven trusty) 75 can match if not beat it

On a more serious note though, one thing I've always been wondering (for about a year now), do I spend money on this car, or save my pennies and invest in a newer one?

For eg, if I knew for sure I'd get say another three years of trouble free motoring (the Scorp cost me NOTHING to run, NOTHING broke!!), I'd hit roverbreakers.com and invest in some comfy heated leather seats and a few other mods/gizmos that the Club issue didn't come with.

I've had HGF, timing belt, water pump etc all done a year ago (on about 90k) so I presume that's the majors out of the way. The last MOT was in June and I needed a replacement windscreen (too many chips), other than that, not so much as a warning item. Regularly serviced and well looked after.

Worth throwing a bit of spare cash at it based on that?

Any thoughts or advice?

Ta

Despite owning my ZT for a few months everything I've heard about 75's/ZT's is nothing but goodness and praise.

So long as you look after your 75 and don't ignore any signs of wear and trouble then you'll be plain sailing. Afterall, you're a member of the greatest 75/ZT resource on the planet and we're all hear to help get you through the next 100K miles and beyond!!!

The other nice thing about 75/ZT's is that because they are so differant to the rest of the cars in their sector they will 'age' style wise a lot slower. :xmas-smiley-036:
