If you want to take a chance how about taking a chance on this one

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=130197838469

Untested I would not go over £80-90 myself for it as you should get that much back for the body alone if the PCB turns out to be faulty.

I can test this for you on my rig if anyone does buy it.

This one went @ £92 - not too bad, I suppose.

I have my eye on another one. Can I have it sent to you for testing, Keith? How do I contact you?

Thanks again.

If it works then that was a bargain.

I'm the lucky (or un-lucky if it doesn't work) winner on the one on eBay. I will let you know how I get on installing it once I get back from holiday on the 8th March.

There's one from Poland right here...
clicky

I'm not bidding for it, but isn't the PCB specific to our cars?

Seems like the Polish ones may be dodgy: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...hlight=webasto

I got warned off them by Webasto Tech support in Doncaster they say they are VW/Audi warranty rejects

Probably a mixed bag of faults on them
PCB will not be compatible with our K bus but otherwise if any one buys one you can send it to me and I will check it out, and let you know if there is anything odd about wiring one up in our cars minus the kbus connection itself.

The latest Webasto models (not sure about the Thermo Top C) use a dedicated W bus (Webasto bus) connection for startup i.e not via pins 1 or 3

Also be aware if a Thermo top heater seen or sale does not have a water pump or is marked up as 12v, 26W then that units pcb does not support a water pump and is not really any good for our cars.
