ok my 75 is a facelift model and I retro fitted the sat nav I had to make a link lead so that I can fit the sat nav to my car on my car there are 4 connectors for the radio on the sat nav there was only one 16 pin connector so take your head unit out and have a look to see how many connectors there are and let me know

there are 2 connectors on the screen head unit,blue and white.

ok pull these out and see if there are any more if I am correct there should be several more I will take photos of the conectors on mine

the unit is out and I can only see the 2 connectors.

And had something similar to this - It turned out the plugs going to the tv unit had badly corroded. Are they covered in something that resembles limescale?
As for the other problems, have you tried the big block connector that goes into the radio module? It might be a loose wire (in my case a purple one). This can come loose and short on something, blowing fuse 22 (small 15amp) in the process.
