Default DMGRS - customer service

So a package has gone wayward...

Very quick response to my email query with no blaming the courier, no blaming the factory, no wait and see, no quibbling and no excuses.

Just a new order despatched and an apology.

Can't ask for more than that can you?

Well done Mat.

Indeed, I ordered a wheel bearing last week and due to a glitch in their system it wasn't sent out. No excuses, an apology and refund of the delivery charges. Great customer service. I don't go anywhere else for my parts.

Could not agree more. I buy 90% of my car parts from Mat, the very few issues I've had with parts were corrected immediately, best customer service I've ever had and a extremely nice guy to. Lee.

Sorry to spoil the party a bit, but I have had mixed experiences with Mat and DMGRS. I think he has a great business, and he really is a godsend for many Rover owners, but I am a bit selective regarding what I buy from him. His clutch kits are good, and when he has genuine Rover parts available, they are often at lower prices than Rimmers or X-part. However, I have just had a thermostat from him which is clearly an inferior quality part compared to the genuine Rover item, and has caused me some grief due to leaks and the hassle of replacement. The lack of telephone number, together with slow delivery and slow responses to e-mails on some occasions mean I tend not to use him for parts that are needed urgently. I tend to go to Rimmers on those occasions, even though it costs me a bit more.

Just my two penny worth !

Pete

I like to support the supporters.....when I can.

Ordered some stuff in December..... turned up in January......Christmas and new year happened in between.

Ordered another pair of drop links...... which the order has gone astray.

Sent them out as soon as I emailed him though.

He does answer my emails.

But I ordered from Rimmers....1630hrs on Tuesday......turned up 1030hrs the NEXT DAY !!!!

I know they are a bit high on postage......but hey....sometimes it's worth it.

I ordered a pair of rear upper suspension arms from Mat and they failed to turn up
Again, no excuses from Mat. Email was answered promptly and a new pair were sent out using next day delivery at no cost to me.
I personally would always recommend Mat and DMGRS

As far as I'm aware Mat runs DMGRS more or less single handed. A 48 hour response time is what eBay would perceive as industry standard, so we should grant Mat the same.

He does extremely well to manage it all by himself and he can't help this going astray. As for inferior parts, he can only supply what he can get. Even brand new OEM parts can sometimes fail straight away. It may be a "chew on" getting a replacement sorted, but at least it's offered. I highly doubt Rimmers would be so quick and understanding with returns and replacements procedures.

I can only imagine a phone number isn't supplied because it would be non stop ringing all day whilst he's busy with orders.

At the end of the day he's selling good brand new spares at a low cost to us as the buyer. The majority of spares no doubt get purchased by ourselves as enthusiasts. We MUST support small independent firms like this. Mat is an enthusiast himself and an all round good guy to match.

Cheers
Robson
