Default Fun with a scammer

Just had a call from "BT", yea right.
I decided to play along.
asked to go to computer and press the windows key and R which I did

what do you see I'm asked

nothing is my reply.

do it again I'm told and so we go round in circles
eventually she, now losing her temper and calling me an idiot asks why I cant see anything.
I had not turned on the computer I was sitting at

wow shes funming

turn it on shes says, I reply I have (I hadn't really) and am told to press windows key and R.
I do it, what do you see she asks, nothing I reply.

now shes climbing the wall, why cant you see anything? I have not turned the screen on, you did not tell me too

shes now lost it, gives me some verbal and hangs up

2nd call in 2 days.

I love these spam calls

I love these spam phone calls, I've had them (supposedly) from Microsoft, BT, and Openreach amongst others. I have a little game with them if I have time and keep them chatting about all sorts whilst asking them to repeat their instructions. Best I've managed so far is 11 and a half minutes before they hang up on me.

It's great fun when 'Microsoft' ring me up.

Last one I had, I asked what my IP address was, and they came up with 192.168.0.1 to which I replied, no what is my external IP address and he repeated the same number.

This went on for 5 or 6 times, and then I said that I was a member of the Microsoft Partnership (which I am at work) and you have never heard such language before he threw the phone down.

Made my day

Great ideas, all of which are meant to keep em on the phone as long as possible which is good as it helps prevent real scams happening and drives a horse and cart through their targets. My uncle used to invite the local "religious zealots" through the door and keep them in for hours for that exact reason, to keep them away from doing real harm. He must have wasted literally days of their time over the years, they were convinced he was seriously interested so they kept calling.

I went thru all the usual questions with these people asked all about security and pass word etc until it came to the crunch when they asked for my card details.

I said which one would you like and they replied any one will do so I said well I have fifteen at the moment but am expecting more so which one ?

To which he relplied, why have you so many cards ?

Well it is my birthday thats why I have a lot of cards....wonder he didn't break the phone when he put it down.

Dave Lincs had a debt management company call him once, they asked if he had any debts, he kept them on the phone for ages, they eventually asked him for details of the debt to which he replied

I went to the pub, forgot my wallet and trikey lent me a tenner, I owe him £10.

lol PMSL I must remember that sometime.
Another good one is ,accident claims, I repeatedly had someone calling me about an accident i had that wasn't my fault, the last time I played along and said yes, funny you should call about it, it affected my memory, I have no recollection of any accident at all. "Click"went the phone, end of conversation.
