Real wood v plastic
I have just learned that some models had a "real" wood dash as opposed to plastic. Can someone enlighten me? I have a 1999 V6 Connoisseur (Vin 111386) and a 2006 75-T V6 Connoisseur (Vin 334082), both have plastic dashes. Was the real wood an optional extra?
On another matter I am unable to post on the "how to" forum, why?

I think the easy way to tell is the word "Airbag" on the very left hand side that is fitted over the passenger air bag. If flush, its wood, if recessed its genuine plastic.

Real wood dash
I have had a set of fascias which fit the definition of real wood with the flush airbag. Did not fit them because the plastic version has a better grain, perhaps it is the hard varnish that spoils the real one?
