trickle chargers, information and help please..
So I wish to fit a trickle charger to a car I am storing for a while, I have never used one before and have no idea how they work, I have looked on the internet but opinions vary on them. Anybody have any experience of them and the best way to use them. I would be fitting one so that the battery des not go flat over time. Any help would be great thanks.

Very quick and simple.
1/ Connect positive clip on charger to pos terminal of battery. 2/ Do the same with the negative connection. 3/ Plug into mains and forget.-- |

I have saw some info on the internet saying that you should only connect to the positive and connect the negative to the body of the car ?. Would that be wrong then ??.

I have a battery maintainer connected up to my Rover for months on end, It's a multi battery charger/maintainer unit with a fan, Cant remember if it's a Neilsen or Draper unit!!! it does 2amp/6volt/12volt/instant start. when it's trickled charged up it just stays at a floating charge and the green light comes on.
Edit: Neilsen, just found a pic.
