Nothing is worse than the mindless vandalism of property they should be hung from a streetlight by their genitals. However thanks to Mickyboy for proving that every cloud has a silver lining

I would imagine that the hope is it would drill enough respect into them that they wouldn't become thugs.

Maybe boot camp is the answer?

No. I bet they only do it twice. ‘The law is an ass’. Lord Chief Justice Goddard statement.

If they get caught you should get the option for "eye for an eye" in these type of cases.

He/she/them thought it "fun" to trash someone else's property that they cared about.

Get them to bring some high value items they own - Ps4 / XBox / Mobile phone / laptop. Choose your item and trash it in front of them.

Simples. Maybe then they might feel some of your pain.

National service works very well in many countries, it's not all about being trained to kill, and they don't just hand you a weapon and hope for the best.
Most of my male relatives have either been in the services or at least done their bit in national service and all have said it was the best thing that could have happened to them.
As the law in this country is an ass .... National service seems to be the best option for all these 'no marks' and the peeps affected by their actions.
