CDTi ZT-T Auto induction noise & no guts
New to the ZT-T and diesel but long time MG owner. My ZT-T has developed an induction noise since yesterday when putting the gas pedal down and is around 2k revs, no boost in performance. Is this a turbo hose problem. Not had a chance to look yet. Drives fine otherwise but you can hear the suction noise on the near side quite clearly.
Thanks. |

Sounds like it could be intercooler O rings on the elbow pipe where it meets the intercooler, are you getting any black smoke on acceleration, or sooty marks around the rear bumper

Have a look at the pipe that goes up from the intercooler to the egr. Has it got a split in it? Or as above, put your hand down to the bottom of the same pipe and see if it is covered in oil. Probably oil on the body/ fbh .
