Interesting read Rav, what I find fascinating is the fact that it's always the Nazi party responsible for the atrocities never Germany as a whole..no offense meant to any German members.

I know what you mean. I think a lot of countries were guilty for not doing enough when it mattered, including us. A great shame. I love reading these stories about the war and the people that lived through it but it’s also very sad at the same time. People say this should never be repeated but it is happening all across the world, even now. It’s just that we just do put always hear about it. All these genocides and people starving to death because nobody wants to help them. They are all suffering.

Well apparently we invented the concentration camp during the Second Boer war in South Africa.

Some parts of the British press and British government expected the campaign to be over within months, and the protracted war gradually became less popular, especially after revelations about the conditions in the concentration camps (where as many as 26,000 Afrikaner women and children died of disease and malnutrition) source
