Default KV6 Metal Thermostat Kit

Dear All
I hope you are busy sorting out your cars during lockdown!
My MGZT V6 has popped its thermostat again (after less than 18 months-a resin reinforce one from DMGRS!) so I am looking for the metal upgrade as sold by DMGRS. They are out of stock so I am just seeing if anyone has a spare kit they do not need.
Best wishes to all,
Bob

Hi Bob,

Unless you have insufficient antifreeze (which I'm sure you don't), the problem will be a leaking 'O' ring seal most likely at the base of the thermostat housing. All you need is a CDU 3858 and when replaced, ensure that the serrated clips on the straight pipe are moved fully outwards to be in intimate contact with the water pump and thermostat housings. That will make the whole plastic assembly rigid and prevent a recurrence.
