Looking for an old laptop for Linux Ubuntu

Hi all.

A bit of a cheeky ask .

My ancient Toshiba Satellite is dying . In fairness it's probably about 15 years old and has given sterling service.

I wonder if anyone has an old laptop lurking in a drawer/cupboard that I could beg . Ideally with a 64-bit (x86-64) CPU

I don't need the hard drive as I'll be swapping mine over so AFAIK there's no issues with data protection.

Obviously I'll pay postage and beer tokens.

if you don't get one look for Freecycle in your area although it may be suspended for lockdown but you could try a wanted advert there. I got 2 laptops from someone with hard drives. The batteries were duff but ok for my use to run off the mains
