Yes, all the V6 motors have the same inlet manifold. Check that the flap opens and closes easily without sticking before using it.

Once again thanks for the reply, find it strange putting a flap in the manifold actually increases torque , but there again remember in the 60,s some racing 2strokes had cable adjusted exhaust pipe lenghts to tune on the main straight, strange things can happen, took 1 vis flap out I really can’t tell the difference
Still goes very well, gets lots of strange looks as you don’t see that many of these
Cars in Queensland although there’s a few in Victoria. State, to cold down there for me I like the sunshine thanks take care stay away from the virus

It will make a difference so long as the vis motors are working.

Hi Michael,

I don't know whether you've seen the torque graph but the effect of the VIS system is apparently to produce two peaks, rather than one, at 2,700 and 3,750 rpm which then blend into a fairly flat response between 4,000 and 5,000 rpm. The overall aim is a relatively smooth torque delivery throughout the useable rev. range.

Simon

The figures quoted are for the 2.5 litre engine. The 2.0 differs slightly.

Thanks dattrike and you Simon haven’t the torque graph, but on my zt at 3000rpm torque kicks in, so me thinks I should buy one or 2 as a spare
Rover must have had a reason to spend that much money on designing a strange manifold, for your info Victoria state has a very big increase in the virus transmition, big fine if you leave the house without a mask on, in Queensland
Boss lady has threatened to close the border with new south wales again,
Seems a second wave is on its way
