Default Boot soundproofed

Spent most of the day yesterday soundproofing the boot on my cdt...
Quite pleased with the result....

I sound proofed my V6 a couple of years back.
We had purchased a new mattress for the bed then we didn't like it so I cut it up and used the soft filler (not the foam stuff ) and stuffed the rear arches and around the spare wheel area.
It made quite a difference, in fact I am going to do the same with the XF soon as it's a lot noisier than the 75 when travelling with the seats down.

Believe it or not gentlemans it makes a significant difference in cabin noise...specially on the motorway....
Next weekend i'm gonna soundproof the bonnet and i will also remove the rear seats and do that area as well...

Are you doing this for ICE or for noise reduction?

If the latter - you'd get much better results using the right tools for the job - e.g. mass loaded vinyl or foam etc rather than a traditional panel stiffener (e.g. dynamat).
