Sounds like a sticky motor A long screwdriver and a sharp tap with a hammer normally sorts it

If you are brave you can take out the seats, remove the parcel shelf. Take of the motor cover and re-libricate the cogs. there is very little greese in the units and they can become stuck over time.
The motor outpts a very high torque so be careful if you are testing it with the cover off.

Sun blind
Mine is working on and off as well, I might get a long screw driver one day and tap it to see if that gets it working
Are they easy to get out and lube up? If I not get you fixed we are bound to have a hot summer, get it fixed and it will not be a good summer at all |

It's straight forward to get the shelf out, just not very easy.
There is a "how to..." on the subject
