Default symphony upgrade for face lift

hi can any one help me iam trying to put in my old symphony plus cd changer (ROVER 75 2000) INTO MY 04 CDTI FACELIFT i have followed the gunnermans (trev) instructions but the cd is not working it is clunking and selecting but no audio and when selected it displayes no tape i have checked all the wirng but i think the k bus lead is not there (y/w/r)n in the main radio loom i did conect it to a red and white lead but it didnt work please can anyone help ,phil
ps iam not very technical so please keep it simple

Hi Phil

Which headunit did you have before. When I replaced my Iovox CD 80 I had to look further up the loom for the kbus, there wasn't one going into the back of the cd80. I located it running to an unused connector an inch or so back up the loom and merely spliced into that (I think the connector is for a phone installation).

Hi Phil
You may find some useful info in my post 16th March - Symphony + CD changer - facelift models - it sounds like you need to get the K-bus connection sorted.
