Impossible to say, if kept dry it will last a lot longer.
Mine has lasted at minimum 120,000 miles so far and a 2004 Model. Lasers do pack up but can be easily replaced if a MK4. |

I've just re read thread and noticed you have the Lo Line Sat Nav system. Dooh!
For this the MK4 would be wasting your money as the facilities and speed it offers cannot be used on your system, Sorry should have checked before mentioning MK4's. You would need the rest of Hi Line system parts to use this and although can and has been done by members could prove to be very expensive. They go incidentally (MK4) for around the £300 mark, some much more. No reason for your CD/Radio to go but as with all electrical things......... |

Sat Nav Owners Caution When Disconnecting Battery
A Jules tip for any MGR Sat Nav owner to preserve the life of the in boot computer would be to print the following label out & get it encapsulated then firmly attach it to your battery
~ATTENTION!~ BEFORE DISCONNECTING THIS BATTERY, WAIT 1-2 MINUTES FOR THE LED TO EXTINGUISH ON SAT NAV UNIT SITUATED IN THE BOOT Perhaps the Club might want to get some made & sell them in the shop
