Wink Maf sensor and other bits

I bit the bullet and bought a Maf sensor from `Worldcarparts` arrived today says its a genuine part on the website. Got it today and I m not sure. Its got bosch on the side but it came in a box labeled MEAT&DORIA
have I been sold a copy. This leads me onto my next issue.
If Im doing the Maf I might aswell do the air filter ,oil filter etc.BUT what are the best to fit can I get them from Euro car parts or do I need genuine parts. What are the best to fit .I m going to clean the EGR too and would just like to add my thanks to ARCTIC for all his advise.

Hi.
I bought the same last year. No problem, it's an original Bosch one, Meat&Doria are subcontractors of Bosch.
I fitted it and it worked fine until I replaced it by a pierburg one (fitted with a Synergy 2)

Hi.
I bought one from them a couple of years ago. Rover / MG spec MAFs come with the plastic housing and cost a couple of hundred pounds.
The VW spec one is sold as compatible with the Rover / MG because in theory it overfuels by 4% above the manufacturer's specifications, but the sensor is made with a manufacturing tolerance of 4% anyway so it might make no difference to the fuelling. I didn't notice any difference in mpg between the VW spec MAF and the Rover / MG spec one.
My VW spec MAF lasted 18 months / 15,000 miles. I haven't read anyone's experience of how long the "proper" one lasts.

That's interesting. It quotes the MGR OEM part number FOOC2G2029 which (AFAIK) hasn't been available without the plastic pipe / housing that the sensor lives in. But I wouldn't mind betting that the part mert has received has the number FOOC2G2032, which is the MAF made for VW.

Wink

yep has Bosch and f 00c 262 092 underneath. So is it any good? I ve just read the bumph from the Landy thread and the only issue I ve got is undoing the two bolts which it says needs to be done with pliers.
