Agree totally - a horse rider speeding up to a trot so as to “pull into” a safe space to let cars and other vehicles pass is a regular occurrence round here. As is car drivers treating other road users - including horse riders with respect.

Both parties then smile and wave at each other and all is at peace in our small bit of the world.

Idiots are, thankfully, rare.

There are lots of horses out and about where I live.
I don't mind them at all, even though I can get stuck behind them for ages.
