Default KV6 cruise question

I'm troubleshooting a non-working KV6 cruise retrofit. The connection on header C0286-2 is present and I assume runs to the transmission module (EAT) C0932-43 as a (currently) non-cruise setup as per the photo.

I couldn't decide whether to reroute the existing connection to the cruise relay C0895-6 as per the photo or add it, so I decided in the end to piggy-back off C0286-2 to C0895-6 which means both cruise and non-cruise settings are now connected. This obviously doesn't make sense on reflection.

Anyone confirm please that I should disconnect the EAT? Thanks.

Dougie.
