The loom for the the CDC is most likely spliced into the main loom in the boot.
The permanent +12V is also feeding the radio and the nav computer in the boot. Have a look at the 17 pin round connector on the back of the radio. Pin 9 is the one you want [color?]. If permanent power is there[as it should], just splice into that wire. Can you trace the Pink/Purple from the CDC loom to where it connects to the main loom [radio] in the boot? Hans |

Just another thought.
Maybe the previous owner moved the CDC from the glove box to the boot. If that's the case have a good look in the glove box area and passenger side fuse box to see evidence of a splice into a DIY loom there. Hans |

I'm confused. My car is a ZT 260 SE and as I understand it these all have the CD changer in the boot? I tried to trace the CDC 'cluster' of wires back from the CDC but could only follow them up around the perimeter of the boot, behind the nav disc loader and then they disappear up behind the parcel shelf somewhere. As far as I can trace the wire it remains independent from anything else (i.e. it doesn't splice into anything).
Is it standard/factory setup for the CDC loom to be spliced into the main loom? I know I can splice into another Purple/Pink in the boot and use that as my permanent. (In the ZT 260 the battery is also boot mounted so I could just power it up direct off the battery). But I still want to know what has gone wrong with my wiring! |

I've just bought a 260, and I'm having the same problem. No power to the CDC. I'm going to rip out the interior this weekend to trace the wire

there is another fuse on the cd changer loom behind the centre console,(this fuse is well hidden and not in any of the hand books) follow the cables down from the head unit. I had the same problem with my old ZT 260. The reason the plugs get cut off are due to corroding.

Where exactly is it and what does it look like? Attached is a pic of behind the head unit. (I am holding the blue and white connectors that go into the back of the head unit out of the way to the left hand side). These two groups of wires go up and out the top left corner of the picture, then it looks like one of the groups of wires runs along the top from left to right and then turns down from the top right corner and (I think) runs down to the right hand side of the gearbox tunnel. I can't see any fuses. Last edited by obiwan; 7th March 2009 at 13:08.. |

...and some more pics.
The first (1153) is the view of behind the console with head unit, climate control unit, switch panel and cup holder/cigarette lighter removed. The second (1154) is the lower half of that cavity (behind the climate control, switch panel and cup holder etc). The third (1158) is the only wiring to the right hand side of the cavity behind the console. I separated a few connectors, but still couldn't find any fuses! This is doing my head in. |

Well I've taken 6 Sat Nav systems out, and I don't recall any fuses other then the passenger fuse box.
